I'm not sure if the chosen component is correct, I don't have much knowledge
about the wine project.
Furthermore I've forgotten to copy some interesting output, that appears on the
console.
So this appears during using pegasus mail:

The last two lines appears many, many times. I think every time the
"reverse text" appears.

Hello!
in the following there are copies of two mails which I've sent to the wine-
users list, after a little discussion on the list I think this is a bug and no
configuration problem.
The first mail:
> Hello together!
>
> I got the following problem and I haven't found a solution or bug report
> at the wine site: If I start pegasus mail (I use the latest version:
> 4.12a) I will get "reverse text" in the preview mirror at the down right
> side. This means the content of the email (only the body, not the subject
> or recipient list) is written from the right side to the left side. If I
> now open an email via the menu button or double click to get a separate
> full-size window for this mail then there will be also subject and
> recipient list in "reverse text style", the body will be displayed just
> like in the preview window.

Part of the second mail, may be a important information:
> Because I also verified this error on a plain wine only windows emulation
> (without an real windows system) and with the new beta version of pegasus
mail
> (V 4.21 from 3 May 2004) I will additionally open a new bug report

Summary: Hidden forms show as blank modal forms when loaded
Product: Wine
Version: 20040408
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-gdi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wine(a)spacejock.com
This started with Wine 20040408, and is still present in Wine 20040505
My Visual Basic app loads a form at startup, but doesn't display it.
Unfortunately, both these versions of Wine DO attempt to display this hidden
form, and they display it as a modal dialog without any controls on it,
effectively stopping the program dead.
Not sure if this is related, but suddenly the splash screens in all my apps are
showing a title bar and corner 'X' widget, when they're actually designed
without either. This is only a visual thing, and has no effect on the program
execution.

I have the same problem, using Mandrake 9.2, with the wine-20040505-mdk1 RPM.
The Office '97 setup program says it exited unsuccessfully, but Wine itself
claims a successful exit. This was without any native Windows DLLs.
