Summary: Wizardy 8 load game problem
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.2.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-files
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: realill(a)gmail.com
When I am tring to load saved game I get incorrect list of names for saved
games. For example if game was named "1", I get "1Av" and if it was named "1Av"
I get "AvAV". So I am not able to load or delete any saved game using this list.
See attached image.
Looks like there is some issue with handling file names.

You can use winedbg/gdb (see docu). But for this I would like to see
"WINEDEBUG=+seh,+relay,+tid" trace (~400-800 lines before the last "seh:"). Just
attach it (not compressed pls)

It's copy protection. Check if you have secdrv.sys in system32\drivers directory.

Dear all,
I started the installation of boinc, which is Open Source, under Debian Linux

required. You might be interested in the error code 91 and maybe the MSI fixmes

Look inside the program directory. There are windows ports of mkisofs.exe and
cdrecord.exe in there that the program uses. I can run them with "wine mkisofs"
and "wine cdrecord" and they seem to work when run from the command line.
However, trying to run the program, "wine pebuilder" and, with the XP cd in the
drive, pressing the "build" button: a dialog flashes by, listing a bunch of
steps before the program crashes, stopping on "reading .inf file
(path)/serialmouse.inf" And it crashes even if you choose not to burn a cd or
make an image and instead just try to build the directory tree:

See, the crash is in pebuilder and the last two modules, kernel32 and ntdll
aren't ones I can go native and try out. I can't get my debugger to work yet or
I'd be able to better describe what's going on but it seems to be a problem with
the internal commands for reading and writing files to disk.

Summary: Steam crashes after the installer is done in SUSE 10.0 -
after saying "Please turn off compatibility mode"
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.2.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: wine-ports
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ryanbach(a)adelphia.net
In Suse linux 10.0 - when install steam.exe from steampowered.com - it runs fine
until the installation is done which then it gives the following error.
"Please turn off 'compatibility mode':
-right-click on Steam.exe
-select Properties
-go to the 'Compatibility' tab
-un-check 'Run this application in compatibility mode..'"
I have tried both ways of trying to fix it via the Applications Database -both
using winetools and not but to no avail.
Here is a thread which another person get the exact same error as I. The only
difference is he is running the 64bit version of Suse 10 but I am running the
32bit version.
See the thread here:

Dear all,
I got something very similar during the installation of objectiF
(www.microtool.de, also about 80MB download). The installation is very very
smooth and claims to complete successfully but the installed binary only opens
an empty window and then immediately quits.
During installation I got many fixmes
fixme:ole:ITypeInfo_fnRelease destroy child objects [repeated _many_ times]
interspesed with
fixme:ole:DllRegisterServer not implemented (olepro32.dll) [once]
fixme:ole:MSFT_ReadValue BSTR length = -1? [twice]
and once only:
fixme:atl:AtlModuleInit SEMI-STUB (0x10016400 0x100160b8 0x10000000)
fixme:atl:AtlModuleRegisterServer 0x10016400 1 (null)
and close to the very end:
fixme:ole:SLTG_ProcessDispatch memh.cbExtra is 434
fixme:ole:SLTG_ProcessDispatch offset 0 0x4a
fixme:ole:SLTG_ProcessDispatch memh.cbExtra is 82
fixme:ole:SLTG_ProcessDispatch offset 0 0x4a
wine --version gives 0.9 from Debian unstable.
I presume I should have run the latest version of wine, sorry. Also I will
redirect the output properly next time I'll go for it or upon request.
