Summary: DC Proof vb app hangs after richedit trouble
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.3.
Platform: Other
URL: http://www.dcproof.com/dcpsetup.exe
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-richedit
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
The author of a freeware app asked on comp.lang.basic.visual.misc
for help getting his app running on Wine (see
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.basic.visual.misc/msg/86b8d2fff3bd… )
I tried it out with today's CVS, and got it to hang simply by
clicking the "Numbers" menu and choosing the first item, "Peano's Axioms".
Looks like richedit trouble. I'll attach a log with +ole,+richedit.

Good day,
I've tested the restore function under real Microsoft Windows XP: It loads fine
It is strange that it would word under real MS Windows XP and not under real MS
Windows 2000.
Wine still doesn't work, though...

Summary: pressing the steam minimize button causes weirdness
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.3.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: michael.s.gilbert(a)gmail.com
if one should press the minimize button in steam ("_" in the top right corner of
the window), the application will not minimize. in this state, the window
cannot be moved (it will pop right back). however, one can select the "games"
item from the right-click menu on the steam icon to get the window to propperly
behave again.

Okay lets say, The linuxexe works perfectly, I can log in to the server and all
I get this error
err:ddraw:set_render_state Unhandled dwRenderStateType
D3DRENDERSTATE_RANGEFOGENABLE (00000030) value : 00000001 !
fixme:winmm:MMDRV_Exit Closing while ll-driver open
Also, the quality is somehow poor, the text and gfx. I hope there is another

Summary: winecfg is unusable with the default virtual desktop
size
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.3.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: michael.s.gilbert(a)gmail.com
when using the "emulate a virtual desktop" option under the winecfg "graphics"
tab, the default resolution is 640x480. however, the winecfg "ok" and "cancel"
buttons are below the edge of the window at this resolution, so the user has no
way to apply changes (except tabbing and hoping for the best).
there is no reason for the winecfg window to be so long vertically. it could
easily fit in less than 480 pixels with plenty of room to spare.
it may also be useful to prevent the user from entering a resolution that would
be too small (or a warning).
and finally, it would be useful to have a dropdown list of standard resolutions,
rather than text-entry.
thanks for the hard work.
