------- Additional Comments From benjamin.j.mccann(a)gmail.com 2006-11-11 10:05 -------
Sorry, I forgot to mention that in each case a pair of dialog boxes did open
during the install. The install crashes right after I accept the EULA.
The first error message I get from the logs after accepting the terms and
conditions is:
err:msi:msi_dialog_set_font No font entry for L"0"
Also, when I run ./configure I get the following errors eventhough
freetype-config is on my path (when I type freetype-config I receive "Usage:
freetype-config [OPTION]..."):
configure: WARNING: Your system appears to have the FreeType 2 runtime libraries
configure: WARNING: installed, but 'freetype-config' is not in your PATH. Install
configure: WARNING: the freetype-devel package (or its equivalent on your
distribution)
configure: WARNING: to enable Wine to use TrueType fonts.
configure: WARNING: FreeType is missing.
configure: WARNING: Fonts will not be built. Dialog text may be invisible or
unaligned.

I removed the ~/.wine directory and still no luck.
I'm guessing that by using the native msi you mean to run "msiexec /i
FolderShareSetup-2.5.10.msi" instead of "wine msiexec /i
FolderShareSetup-2.5.10.msi". I am newbie when it comes to wine.
I tried to install 0.9.25 from source and had no luck. I will attach the output
of that trial, which is basically the same.

I missed the last comment posted to gun, I was referring to the following 2
errors being the same. I know nothing about them being generic in MSI or why the
message box comes up, I only know they both have a dialog box that pops up in
the middle of installation with the same message after the same set of errors
and they look similar.
"Feature Transfer Error
Error: -1627 ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED"
Title = "Feature Transfer Error"
Message = "Error: -1627 ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED

If we ever (even though it's an redistributable) implement this dll, perhaps
http://sourceforge.net/projects/hlsl2glsl can help with the hlsl compiler part.
Evil from comment #7 : That is a separate issue, please file a separate bug
about it.
