If you are able to start the game, the registry key SeenIntroVideo gets set and
will no longer play the intro video. Set it to zero, and it will play the intro
video. That's how you actually reenable or disable it. Renaming the movies
folder is just an easier trick.

Well over the weekend i went to a LAN, and could only bring one monitor. I also
forgot that i had renamed Movies~ to Movies, thus enabling the startup movie,
and it worked.
I am now back at home and warcraft no longer crashes on the dual screen. It
also stopped changing the resolution.

Created an attachment (id=4205)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=4205&action=view)
Ignore wParam !=0 and properly cast lParam when checking it
Could you try this patch with it? I think that the call to EXLIMITTEXT must not
have been changing the value of nTextLimit.

There was a patch
(http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2006-April/025412.html) that
implemented EM_FORMATRANGE, but it never got accepted and didn't get anywhere.
After getting the patch to apply cleanly on wine-cvs, the installer runs to
completion. The updated patch is attached below, should I resubmit the patch?

Your install log doesn't say anything useful, so can you please describe exactly
what you mean by "IE does not finish install"? The steps you take and the
information presented on the screen would be helpful. Also, is your .wine on a
network drive?
