Yes sorry forgot about it completely.
Native cabinet completely brakes HAL auto-mounting. With builtin I found
something that seemed to eventually work:
- Start install from CD1
- When prompted remove CD1 and insert CD2
- Wait for it to mount, tell installer to proceed. Installer won't see CD2.
- Remove CD2, insert it again, mount it and try again.

You might want to file separate bug reports for the other bugs you mentioned.
Original problem seems to be fixed.

The installers you mentioned don't use MSI at all, as witness by watching the
emptiness of a +msi,+msidb trace. These installers are calling
SHBrowseForFolder, which isn't doing something correctly. We really need a
wine-shell32 component.

That no one is realy working on fixing it, now that we know how to solve it,
doesn't exactly help either...
If anyone wants to work on this and would like directions, I would be happy to
provide those.

I have been upgrading kernels through dappers lifecycle, but only those issued
through official channels (security fixes etc.).
I had a working setup (v0.9.24) which broke after I upgraded to v0.9.25. The
*only* difference is that I moved the PC into another room. Which would
suggest hardware failures. But no other issue have popped up (been running
various games, opengl-apps, videos, emulators).
It might be hardware, but it's only wine+deusex that seems to trigger it.
