This is with current GIT and a clean .wine. The error message is "can't find .cab file" I'll attache a +file,+path log that shows what happen with the files. I just verified that your patch makes NxView to run with vanilla 2.6.18. My problem was that normally I'm using Ingo Molnar's exec-shield patch, which causes troubles EVEN when it's disabled with echo 0 >/proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield. Now I patched it totally off and finally it seems that i can run the program. It looks that current exec-shield patch causes that kernel ignores the execstack marking.
