This is on a PC running SuSE 10.1 and wine 0.9.27. The setup menu seems to function but running the "install anywhere" installer fails both from the menu and when run directly from the disk. And I am not talking about _running_ IE, only installing. Running... is not supported. Wine has it's own IE replacement.
