I had the exact same error (access violation at c0000005), but I'm NOT using
ALSA (not the ALSA interface - my wine is setup to use OSS, but my drivers are
ALSA with oss-compat modules).
The error disappeared when switching to 2D ddraw. That would suggest it's not
sound related?
Anyway, my info:
- wine 0.9.27 (with debian patches)
- sound card is onboard VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 (snd_via82xx)
- on Linux 2.6.18-3-k7 (debian etch stock build)

I'm not using Windows Media, but rather wizmo
(http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=6433). Please download the app,
and try the following test commands:
wine wizmo volume=1
wine wizmo volume=100
wine wizmo mute=1
The first is meant to set the volume to 1, essentially the lowest setting, and
the second should set it to the maximum. The last command mutes everything.
None of them worked, but they do work on Windows. I may be misstating the
problem, but there is a deficiency here. It's okay if wine maps controls the
sound driver directly, but it should implement this API (unfortunately, I don't
know the actual calls here).

There is no such thing.
"Master Volume" is the sound driver level thing (ALSA/OSS/ARTS/ESD/JACK/etc). If
you having problems with WM's mixer application not syncing it's slider position
with actual level, it's not Wine's problem, but that application's

Summary: Junk on the bottom part of a window wine desktop mode,
in CircuitMaker 200
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.27.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P5
Component: wine-gdi-(printing)
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: zoltan.padrah(a)gmail.com
In CircuitMaker 2000 (not only), 1/5 of the "drawing" window, from the bottom
is drawn partially, or at all. For expamle, if I run the wine desktop on
virtual desktop 1, and switch to virtual desktop 2, and then back to 1, I get a
rectangle from the virtual desktop 2 in the CircuitMaker window. I expect the
window to be redrawn fully.
I'd like to submit a screenshot, but I just don't know where to upload it :(

When a program tries to change the Windows volume, wine should change the master
volume of whatever desktop is in use (this could obviously be a winecfg option).
