Summary: Fullscreen Wine has Gnome/XFCE toolbars write over the
top of the screen
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.9.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)atomnet.co.uk
Something causes the Gnome toolbars and XFCE toolbars to write over the top of
Wine when it is in fullscreen mode (in almost every program, I've noticed one or
two that don't do it, can't remember right now) which makes them hard/impossible
to use and looks awful meaning you have to use Windowed mode else you have the
bars bleeding through, or rather completely over the top. The mouse moves over
the bars too though which means FPSs and such are impossible to use.
I'm not sure if this bug has already been reported. I searched but didn't turn
anything up.

Summary: Deliplayer doesn't fully open saying it can't open
DeliUI
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.9.
Platform: PC-x86-64
URL: http://www.deliplayer.com
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)atomnet.co.uk
When you start Deliplayer it opens and the about window comes up, but when the
user interface should open it comes up with a Windows message saying "Unable to
open DeliUI" so you can't actually use the application. You can still open the
config program by rightclicking the startbar icon, but the UI itself won't open.

Anything near the camera in Urban Chaos is invisible (i.e. unless you knew it
was supposed to be there, you'd never know it was). This includes your
character, anything you're stood near and things in the distance. I'll include a
screenshot when I get my machine back up.

Hi, i don't know how to fix the bug, but if the application is really important
for you, you could try the following workaround:
get the source, comment line 829 in dlls/x11drv/dib_convert.c,
(/*srcpixel=srcbits;*/) like mentioned before, recompile , and
cp dlls/x11drv/winex11.drv.so ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/ASP32/winex11.drv
Now revert the hack, and recompile, otherwise the hack might break other
programs, and install wine.
run by WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winex11.drv=n" wine ASP32 in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files/ASP32. I know this is a very ugly hack, but apart from the icons being
screwed up, the app works, and the hack won't break other programs. Of course
you would have to do this for every new wine release until someone fixes it :(.

Maybe it checks for the file d3d8.dll in windows/system32. I've seen at least
one application that complained about missing DX 8 , and a simple "touch
d3d8.dll" solved it.

The program starts and behaves normally, except for a huge memory leak (bug 4486).

That had been a point of confusion as ttf implies true type font.
Setting fixed the bitmapped fonts now display where they should.

As I recall this progam actually checks versions of several dlls that it axpects
to find in system32 dir. This will be "WONTFIX" for a long time.
