Since wine 0.9.47 (and also in 0.9.48) the colors in GTA Vice City are
completely messed up. I'll attach a screenshot for demonstration. I did
regression testing and tracked the bug down to this commit:
commit 134aa67ec9fc9f761e6da15a816f770d8a30c455
author Roderick Colenbrander <thunderbird2k(a)gmx.net>
wined3d: Use a fragment shader to do P8 palette conversion in hardware.
Hope this can get fixed soon.

Silkroad Online (previous marked gold) now crashes due to a segmentation fault
during the loading stage (the program previously worked fine until patch 1.129
was released). This has been reproduced on Ubuntu Feisty and Gutsy machines of
32 and 64 bit, Fedora Core 7, and Gentoo machines. Suffice to say, this is not
due to a specific distribution. The error output right before the segmentation
fault is err:heap:HEAP_ValidateInUseArena Heap 0x110000: in-use arena 0x4b1d440
next block has PREV_FREE flag. A "WINEDEBUG=+ddraw,+heap,+relay,+tid,+seh wine
silkroad.exe >logfile 2>&1" logfile of 577MB is attached below. This log was
taken on a 64-bit machine, as a memory leak occurs after it crashes (the memory
used to load game objects is not freed).

Apparently the related API parts have changed in openldap-2.4 and the
ldap_parse_vlv_control and ldap_parse_sort_control functions have been removed
in favor of some slightly different code (i.e. they were not just renamed), so
the wldap32 code needs to be adjusted a bit. As far as I can tell there is no
way to disable using openldap, other than removing the related headers, so it
is impossible to compile wine without manual Makefile/configfile editing.

Theodoros Kalamatianos

memcpy( buffer, tmp, reqsize + sizeof(WCHAR) );
RtlFreeHeap(GetProcessHeap(), 0, tmp);
}
last memcpy() will try to copy (reqsize + sizeof(WCHAR)) bytes into the buffer
of (size) bytes, but here (reqsize) may be equal to (size).

Summary: string definition mistake in ntdll.dll
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P1
Component: wine-kernel
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: naclx(a)vip.sina.com
There is a string definition mistake in dlls/ntdll/reg.c.
In function RTL_GetKeyHandle, the string "control" is defined with
"Registry\\Machine System\\Current ControlSet\\Control". but there shouldn't be
a blank in "Current Controlset". The functions that call RTL_GetKeyHandle to
get this key will return with an error.
