Wine 0.9.49 the Demo version without netplay or movies still crashed on very
start.

This game I'm trying to run seems to be the victim of this bug. Its a game
called Shadow of legend. http://www.shadowoflegend.com/web/
It runs fine if i switch the entire desktop to 16 bit. But i don't want to do
this. Is there a way to fool the game into thinking it is 32 bit?

Try running oblivion with the OSR mode set to fbo.
If that doesnt work, maybe a driver upgrade?

Since it seems reasonable that there would be no character for a kesym of 0 and
the game does not seem to be experiencing any issues because of it, I'll mark
this bug abandoned.

Ignore this issue as I have figured it out. I turned out it was a
plugin data issue that was running alongside the morrowind primary
data. Easily solved.
