I've Installed a new CVS-Wine of (15.11.07) and the situation hasn't changed
much. If I simply enter
wine keeper95.exe
the app immediately crashes(Log supplied).
If I supply a full Dos-Path, Dungeon Keeper immediately exits with:
fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x7c50e2b4,0x00000000), stub!
err:x11settings:X11DRV_ChangeDisplaySettingsEx No matching mode
found(640x480x8)! (XRandR)
If I start it in a virtual desktop, it shows the Intro-Screen,and crashes then.
I'll attach a log of it.
If I start it in a virtual desktop, it produces a bunch of Error-Messages.
(log supplied)

I've installed a new CVS-Wine(of 15.11.07) and the situation got better.
I start a game with the default settings, and it really(!) starts a new game.
The drawback is that the main game screen seems to have crashed. It stays
forever black. But the title bar works and I can then regularly exit the game.
The behaviour is always the same if I set the Windows-Version to Win3.1, Win95,
Win98 or WinXP.
I don't know of another download-site except HotU.
I'll attach the output of wine.

Right. Uru requires this patch (I've been told this patch will be placed on
AppDB page too). I thought this is harmless but AJ expressed some concerns
about this part so I dropped it for a while (it is better to include most of
support now and then work on tiny bit left instead of holding whole thing in
half-working state).

Thanks a lot for including the patches into the git :)
However, Myst Online: Uru Live still doesn't work. I compared the version of
the patch you sent to wine-patches in August with the one you sent now, and did
a lot of testing to see which additional or removed change broke the game. I'll
attach the patch which fixes it to this bug. As I don't know how
I/O-Completion-Ports work or what they do, I don't know if it'll break anything
else. I just know it's necessary to have Myst Online: Uru Live working ;-)

Roberto, please respond via bugzilla, not e-mail.
Via e-mail:
Not yet (at least fon now).
For a long time I mantained an old wine version (0.9.9) and the older Notes
version (6.5.3) to avoid such problem.
Now I'm running wine 0.9.44 and Both Notes 6 and 7 semms to be good.
I've tried several intermediate versions in the meantime but having always
Notes 7 crashing reading a couple of specifc mail I had archived.
Thanks
Roberto
Resolving fixed.

In Wine 0.9.46:
I can't set X11 to 8 bpp on my new computer (without crashing & locking up the
display), so I can't get past the resolution & color depth test. If color
depth can be set internally to Wine I could try it out.

Sorry this took so long to update. I forgot all about this bug report :(
Anyway now this seems to work just fine, and overall a bit faster to boot.
Thanks wine devs!
