Hello,
could you upload the "working" GK3.exe (as bzip2) from the windows install to
same location (as in post #4) just for verification.
Maybe there is some kind of pattern in corruption.
Additionally could you do the following:
Run md5sum or CRC32 (sfv) on all files in the install directory both, native
windows and wine and compare them (main "binary" directory, where GK3.exe
resides should be enough, recursive would be cool)
Just curious if other files (binaries and data) get corrupted by install too.
Regards

Yep. I use the same installer/media on both real Windows and Wine and yes, the
EXE is always the same on Wine (I tried 3 installs and compared MD5 sums).
I get the following console output during install:
err:ole:CoUninitialize Mismatched CoUninitialize
err:menubuilder:InvokeShellLinker failed to fork and exec wineshelllink

Can you please make a re-diff so I can add it to the Command & Conquer 3
how-to? Proper cursors would significantly improve the gameplay! :)

Summary: Tribes Vengeance mouse glitch
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: b.buschinski(a)web.de
The mouse behavior in Tribes Vengeance is weird
the mouse finall moves but...
Ingame the view/rotation is limited to 90° to right and 90° to left
which makes it impossible to turn around
(the up and down 90° limitation is correct)
but the mouse goes totally crazy if you change the resolution ingame
