With or without your latest patch or the SetupDecompressOrCopyFile patch,
I'm seeing
wine: Call from 0x7ee5fbf0 to unimplemented function
syssetup.dll.SetupQueryRegisteredOsComponent, aborting
I'm also occasionally seeing
X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap)
I tried +synchronous,+x11drv and the BadPixmap error didn't show,
but the darn installer kept doing wineboot over and over,
running the last part of the installer gui,
and I saw one of those crashes for each loop :-(

With wine-0.9.34 with native msvcrt it hangs creating endless debug report. I'm
guessing it will stop only when it will run out of HDD space.
Running the game under debugger produces something like:
0x005a8bab: int $3
Wine-dbg>bt
Backtrace:
=>1 0x005a8bab in xrcore (+0x18bab) (0x00a70000)
2 0x00030000 (0x00110000)
3 0x000a0000 (0x00110000)
4 0x000a0000 (0x00110000)
where 3 keeps repeating over and over again.

What would you rename it to? (You can rename it yourself BTW)

Hi Juan,
Thanks for you help. It's my first try to use wine and I probably didn't search
for the right stuff.
I installed DCOM98 and I can open the document now, so this problem is solved,
but there is another one for which I don't find any information either. Maybe
you know about this, too:
The texts in the gantt chart part of the application are not displayed. They
show up in edit fields, but not in the graphical gantt chart. Would a missing
font cause an application running under wine to behave like this? Is it
something that happens in other applications, too?
Unfortunately I don't have access to a Windows computer at the moment to check,
which fonts are available and used. So this will have to wait till next week.
Thanks again,
Roger

Hello,
the executable is packed/protected with Petite 2.x -> must be
unpacked/deprotected before doing anything useful with it :)
With that humbug gone it boils down to following..
--- snip crash ---
0009:trace:ole:OleInitialize ((nil))
0009:trace:ole:CoInitializeEx ((nil), 2)
0009:trace:ole:OleInitialize () - Initializing the OLE libraries
0009:trace:ole:OLEClipbrd_Initialize ()
0009:trace:ole:RegisterDragDrop (0x10058,0xadf1f4)
0009:trace:ole:OleUninitialize ()
0009:trace:ole:OleUninitialize () - Freeing the last reference count
0009:trace:ole:OLEClipbrd_UnInitialize ()
0009:trace:ole:OLEClipbrd_Destroy ()
0009:trace:ole:OLEClipbrd_Destroy () - Destroying clipboard data object.
0009:trace:seh:raise_exception code=c0000005 flags=0 addr=0x10
0009:trace:seh:raise_exception info[0]=00000000

es=007b fs=0033 gs=003b flags=00210206
--- snip crash ---
>From what i've seen it crashes in Drag and Drop uninit in OleUninitialize()
shutdown sequence, e.g. OLEDD_UnInitialize()
--- snip dlls/ole32/ole2.c ---
static void OLEDD_UnInitialize(void)
{
/*
* Simply empty the list.
*/
while (!list_empty(&targetListHead))
{
DropTargetNode* curNode;
curNode = LIST_ENTRY(list_head(&targetListHead), DropTargetNode, entry);
OLEDD_FreeDropTarget(curNode); <--- *boom*
}
}
--- snip dlls/ole32/ole2.c ---
OLEDD_FreeDropTarget -> IDropTarget_Release(dropTargetInfo->dropTarget);
I put in a trace directly before:
--- snip ---
0009:trace:ole:OLEDD_FreeDropTarget (0x184608, 0xadf1f4)
--- snip ---
Interface pointer matches with the one from RegisterDragDrop().
The only other internal function call which explicitly decrements refcount is
RevokeDragDrop() which isnt called.
My guess: either the client itself or some other drop target code in wine does
Release() somewhere -> vtable ptr deref on shutdown -> crash.
For verification i incremented the refcount twice in RegisterDragDrop() (2x
IDropTarget_AddRef(pDropTarget) ).
Seems it helped, doesnt crash in ole shutdown code.
Regards
