WinZip self-extracing archive extracts files into c:\windows\temp random subdir and places installer into c:\windows\temp\AutoRun.exe and c:\windows\temp\AutoRunGUI.dll. 2. Maybe it has something to do with the oleaut32 commnt by Robert Shearman. Just a note: registration of an ActiveX control by this installer requires the presence of a working MFC40.DLL which is not present (not even stubbed out) in Wine. Maybe it is time to start implementing this DLL ? I crash randomly playing Day of Defeat: Source as well. I think it depends on the map though. One Day of Defeat map allowed me to play without crashing. Went to a different map and it crashes within 5 minutes. Garrys mod keeps crashing for me after a random time, just like CSS.
