Summary: Freeware games refuse to load
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.39.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: azrael4h(a)yahoo.com
Several freeware remakes of some classic games will not load in Wine. At least
one of them does, however. The games that will not load for me are Bump 'N Jump,
Ghostbusters, and Ghouls and Ghosts. Ghostbusters II will load, and works fine
as far as I can tell (I have no idea what the controls are, so I occasionally
manage to do something other than get slimed). All are of about the same
graphical and sound quality; except G&G, which is more like a SNES game or 2D
PS1 game.
Warning: could not find DOS drive for current working directory
'/home/pike/GhoulsnGhosts', starting in the Windows directory.
wine: could not load L"c:\\windows\\system32\\game_windowed.exe": Module not found
This is the error message reported; it says the same thing for all three games.
These are low-requirement games, so I'm not sure what the issue is. It also
kicked the same message back when going into Winecfg to check the version, so
it's not the games themselves. All of them work fine on a WinXP machine.

Summary: Sacred: choppy video and sound; sprites cannot be seen.
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.41.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-ddraw
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: amlopezalonso(a)gmail.com
I installed Sacred: Edición de Oro (spanish edition of Sacred: Gold) and when
starting the game I notice this:
1) Since the very first time (main menu) the sound (music) and video get
choppy. I get a lot of:
fixme:ddraw:IDirectDrawImpl_WaitForVerticalBlank (0x1623a0)->(1,(nil)): Stub
these seem to be related to the choppy effects. Also, I disabled sound to no
avail.
2) Characters cannot be seen (both during the gameplay and in the character
selection menu), but other graphics do (pointer, game background, control
panel, etc.). Also, sound and movement remain choppy. There is a lot of:
fixme:d3d7:IDirect3DDeviceImpl_7_DrawIndexedPrimitiveStrided
(0x3790140)->(00000004,00000112,0x7d20eee0,000003f9,0x557fff0,00001038,00000000):
stub!
The first three values and the last one keep constant, the others change with
no evident pattern (to me).
