Me too, Wine 9.41 on Fedora 7.
Now the default Wine font seems to be the GP5 tab font - music symbols etc.
Installation throws one error: AddFontResource Failed - which can be ignored.
Have replicated twice by deleting .wine/, running wineprefixcreate, and
re-installing wine. After install all fonts throughout wine (winecfg, notepad
etc) are the GP5 font.

The demo of red ocean installs fine. When the sound is enabled in winecfg, the
demo crashes. When the sound is disabled in winecfg, the demo does not crash
anymore.
I attached 3 consoles outputs, following the checked options in winecfg.

Don't be absurd. The degree of brokeness I'm talking about is such that it fails
to even bring up the initial menu / start screen (unless the game window has had
focus taken away). If it doesn't even do THAT much under Windows then why does
it even exist?
The guy in comment 8 has definitely got further than I have.

With 0.9.42:
Renders whole screen ok; rectangle problem gone.
However, with any resolution above 640x480 (in either d3d or opengl mode) the
rendering is very slow ( perhaps 0.2 fps ).
At 640x480 it's a very fast framerate.
File new bug for this?

Then judging by the other replies this bug is invalid. You haven't proven that
opengl renderer works in this game at all. While other people indicated that it
does not.
