When testing this, make sure the http_proxy variable is set by gnome before jumping to conclusions. Wine's iexplore does not yet obey these settings, so we can't close the bug yet. To fix this part, we'll need to propagate the settings to Gecko, as described here: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Mozilla_Embedding_FAQ:How_do_I...#How_… Likewise, launching Windows Firefox 3 beta 4 inside Wine does not pick up these proxy settings. Seems like it ought to, but what do I know... If we added an option to wine itself to print out the list of dlls and associated channels, that might be handy, though.
