The Sun JRE and jEdit install ok, but jedit has many startup problems. The first one was bug 10913, and the second was bug 10914. Here's the third one. Start it up like jedit.bat would have, but without using start or ddraw: $ wine 'c:\windows\system32\javaw.exe' -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Xms64M -Xmx192M -jar 'C:\Program Files\jEdit\jedit.jar' -reuseview This hangs. I have tested with 3 different drivers, (Both proprietary and un-proprietary nVidia drivers, and an intel driver) so I don't believe my drivers are at fault.
