>Overriding just oleaut32 doesn't seem to help
This app starts just fine for me using native oleaut32. I did wintricks vcrun6
( that also installs a native oleaut32), and ran with native oleaut32. With
builtin oleaut32 it crashes into oleaut32

msxml3 and winxp is no longer needed.

I've just sent patches that I missed previously. They fix this bug. Now
installation starts, but installing Adobe Version Cue fails (probably MSI bug).
> What's the current recipe for trying this?
See above. Now the biggest remaining problem is jscript.dll implementation.
> Do we need a new gecko, btw?
No, we don't need it for Photoshop.

The wine-1.1.1 announcement said
"Fixes for Photoshop CS3 and Office 2007 installers."
so I tried cs3 again. With
winetricks msxml3 vcrun6 wsh56 winxp
and the hack from #65, it does get quite
a bit further - now it lets me select a
destination folder, and puts up a progress indicator.
It seems to get stuck there, though.
There are lots of warnings, e.g.
fixme:mshtml:ActiveScriptSite_OnScriptError (0x38c73f0)->(0x4213818)
err:ole:ITypeInfo_fnInvoke failed to convert param 0 to VT_I4 from VT_NULL
What's the current recipe for trying this? Do we need a new gecko, btw?

Can you try with Wine 1.1.1 and see what other gdiplus functionality is needed?
If there hasn't been a bug filed for it yet, please do so.

Summary: Lotro fails to start with error code 122
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: creonnoir(a)netscape.net
Created an attachment (id=13602)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=13602)
Screenshot of error message
Installed lotro book 13 under a fresh ubuntu 8.04 installation, with wine
1.0rc3 on a Dell Inspiron 8500 with a Radeon 9000 video card. Used the linux
gui launcher and could connect to account. The game itself fails to load and
gives a 122 error code - see attached screenshot.
No changes were made to the default install until the game would not load.
Then I tried setting the registry settings recommended for the game, same error
received. Installed DirectX9, same error received. Game worked well under
winxp on the same laptop.
