Going by the comments of Pierre and Janosch I doubt it would improve things for this application though. I know that Janosch submitted a patch in Comment #60 (and a big thanks for doing so!), but I get the impression that it is a kludge rather than a true fix. Are we talking about a major rewrite of multiple modules, or just a few quick lines of code and maybe a check box in wine-config? If it's the former, I agree we probably shouldn't devote the resources to it, but if it's the latter, I don't see the harm.
