That seems to fix that error at least, but I am still unable to connect.

All the servers listed at http://ninjam.com/jamfarm/index.php seem to be down.

The version 1.1.12 of wine makes the GTASA sound stutters when entering in
game.
This doesn't happen on the menus.
There is no stuttering on 1.1.11 so I consider this a regression.

Hello,
I have Wine 1.1.12 on Ubuntu 8.10. Every time I load any Wine app, the screen
flickers, little lines flash back and forth. It stops after the app is fully
loaded. It happens with all Wine apps. This did not happen with Wine 1.1.6 on
Ubuntu 8.04.
Thanks for the help!

not major,
The error message about the audio device is because the app defaults to "kernel
streaming" so the audio settings need to be changed to directsound or other.

Fix for implementation of WM_GETDLGCODE message
This patch seems to fix the problem, however, I wasn't able to connect to a
server to test any further.
Let me know if this patch fixes the bug.

I found the same thing too, even with native richedit dll overrides, but the
richedit bug can be tested without a server by entering text into the text
field in the bottom right hand corner of the main window, then pressing enter.
This puts the text "*** error: not connected to a server." in the above text
box with native riched20 but with the builtin dll it doesn't put this text in
the text box.
The problem seems to be that WM_GETDLGCODE is not returning a value with the
DLGC_WANTMESSAGE bit, which seems to prevent the WM_KEYDOWN message from being
sent with VK_RETURN, since ORing this bit to the return value for this case
seems to fix the bug. Some tests should be written for WM_GETDLGCODE to check
what should be returned in different cases.

We have been fooled by the fact that most threads call process_event from time
to time. The thread holding the X11-display connection carrying the motion
events etc does _not_ call process_events(over long periods of time at least).
