As of the 8/11/2009 git, this problem was not present. Problem: During training, the new user is required to read 4 minutes of text (I read a President Kennedy speech). During the training, the text is supposed to change from black to gray as you read. This worked well. However, yesterday the text started changing to all-gray in advance of my reading it. (Training still completed properly, provided I remembered where I was and continued to read all the words.) With Wine 1.1.27, application installation fails for all five application versions for which I maintain AppDB pages. With 1.1.26, all five installed and ran quite well. With 1.1.27, all report something like this: X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent) Serial number of failed request: 3279 Current serial number in output stream: 3279 err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out Then, a litte later, the installation entirely fails. In some cases, there is a report that iKernel.exe cannot be found. Other cases have differing symptoms. A regression test turned out that hunk 1 from commit 401e99b0c074af848379b2602df37fb1e6c7536b causes this problem. Manually reversing it on current git solves it for me. Reversing it via "git revert" or something similiar won't work as we don't have IWineD3DDeviceImpl->activeContext anymore. The attached patch applies to latest git, reversing 401e99b0c074af848379b2602df37fb1e6c7536b hunk 1. I don't know why the entire code was removed. Is there an equivalent somewhere? Or should it be impossible to reach that point? I'm not that into the code. If not, and we decide to add the code again, we should probably also add hunk 2. How to trigger: 1. Log in(may crash here already as EVE has to render up to 3 avatars). 2. Open the "Help" window on your Neocom, choose "Suppport" Tab and click on "Show carreer agents". 3. See white oval in caldari shuttle (here is the bad render) Sometime when the lights is more directly focused in the affected areas, the affected parts render correctly, but not always work ... Notes: Upgrade to Adobe Reader 9.1 was attempted because 9.0 will not print. Adobe Reader indicates that no pages have been selected for printing even though that is not the case. The print box shows all pages as selected.
