In virtual desktop mode it works although it sticks to the original resolution (640x480 I guess) no matter what I put in winecfg. In wine full screen and with Fullscreen=0 in Torment.ini it works in a window without borders. If Fullscreen=1, all I get is a black screen. In window mode, before starting the game, there is a message: "Your desktop is not set to 16-bit color depth. As a result, movies will not play in windowed mode. In addition, many spell effects and other special graphical features may not work properly. It is suggested that you run in fullscreen mode or switch your desktop to 16-bit color depth before running in windowed mode. Continue at current color depth?" For example go in the character selection screen, hold down the mouse and look around for a second. If the mouse is now released the "looking around" moves hectic a fair way off from the point where the mouse was released. The Patch window then flashes on for a brief second then terminates.
