Bug #: 29359
Summary: wine git. DSOUND_BufPtrDiff: Assertion `ptr1 < buflen'
failed.
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-dsound
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: lucianolorenti(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
When i run the launcher of pes 2012 it's raised this error.
xe: ../../../wine-git/dlls/dsound/mixer.c:330: DSOUND_BufPtrDiff: Assertion
`ptr1 < buflen' failed.
This game used to work a few months ago. Then stopped working raising an
different error wich I am reporting unrelated, I think, to this error.
The another error was "Unable to initialize rld.dll(E300)". But with some patch
founded in this site I could pass that error and the assertion `ptr1 < buflen'
also was raised.

Bug #: 31561
Summary: Diablo 3/Diablo III hangs when "log out" is chosen
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.11
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Classification: Unclassified
- Play diablo III.
- Log in to the game.
- For some reason decide you have to log out (maybe you want to login with
other credentials or BNET is acting out and does not let you join some party).
- In windows, log out takes a couple of seconds and you are taken to the
initial screen. Under my WINE setup, you are taken to a black screen with the
mouse cursor. You can move the cursor but nothing seems to happen, have to kill
the poor game.
OS: Ubuntu 12.04.1 64bit. wine1.5 package from the wine ppa.

This is still an issue in 1.5.14. None of the hacks in this bug report can be
applied to current git.
Stefan, do you have time to rebase your hack to the latest git? Thank you!

Requested in the Debian bug tracker:
Dear Debian Wine Party,
It would be great if wineconsole would be smarter and automatically switch
to the curses backend when DISPLAY is not set.
Cheers,
Bill.

Bug #: 31883
Summary: regression/dogfood: PCSX2 locks up when/shortly after
initializing MTGS
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.14
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: billy65bob(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
This has been happening since mid/early August when work began to remove the
"Big X Lock."
Since then, attempting to initialise the GS has caused either one of two
results
1. The MTGS fails to initialise
2. it initialises and completely locks up after a few seconds of continually
degrading performance. Console output identifies the context_section critical
section as the point of failure
I have attached 3 logs, their names indicate the WIENDEBUG value used.
relay_wgl.log - failed to initialise (even after multiple attempts)
relay.log - failed to initialise
wgl.log - initialised and locked up shortly after
The first problematic build I have is dated August 14th, things get
increasingly worse going forwards.
The last problem free build is dated August 2nd
As for how things got worse (and isn't really relevant to the bug report),
since 8/14, additional work kept being done.
Initially I could scroll or move another wine window to fudge the locking a
bit, this would either resolve it temporarily to at least give me a fighting
chance to restart the renderer and play. It could still occasionally initialise
it properly at this stage.
Going forward, I could not longer used this trick and it started locking up
constantly and reliably, to the point that I could no longer get a lucky break
to run it for even a moment.
Also worth noting that in some of the worst cases, the window created by the GS
looks like it's initial update to a full black window is being done in 100x100
tiles over a few seconds.

Installs fine in wine-1.2-rc4-147-geaa227c. It complains about missing
icacls.exe (and also uses the dummy cacls that is already in wine).
Once you've installed, try to run EADownloadManager.exe. On first run, you'll
get an adobe air license agreement (maybe only if you installed it silently)...
After that, exits silently.
Terminal output is minimal:

Screenshot of expected main menu (current git with said commit reverted)
Just launch the game. I use following command for this:
LANG=ru_RU.cp1251 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine_d3/ setarch i386 -3 -L -B -R wine explorer
/desktop=d3,1920x1080 "C:\Program Files\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch
(several workarounds used to make it work).
Observed result:
Screen becomes gray. When game finished loading its resources, ingame cursor
appears and sound starts to play. Gray screen stays as-is.
Expected:
Screen stays gray only during resource loading process. When game resources are
ready and everything is initialized, it should show login screen.
This is a regression:
