Civilization V Crash Log
ATI Radeon HD 5770, fglrx 11.3.
Debian Testing/Unstable up to date(as of today).
Wine 1.3.16 built from git.
When starting a new game, or loading a game, Civilization V will freeze halfway
through the loading screen. After examining the crash log(from the console),
there seems to be a lot of shader errors, then a page fault.

Summary: WoW Windowed Fullscreen Compressed image on dual head
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.20
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jonescaseyb(a)gmail.com
When using Nvidia driver 270.41.06 to run World of Warcraft 4.1 in Windowed
Fullscreen mode on my dual head (TwinView) setup, the sides of the image are
basically letterboxed. There are two black bars on the left and right and the
image is compressed in the middle.
If I disable one display and relaunch the game it works fine.
Oddly enough, the letterboxing goes away if you enter the game world, but you
can still see that it's distorted and compressed horizontally. The UI elements
are much thinner than they should be. Everything else is compressed but the UI
is the most obvious.
I'm attaching a screenshot of the login screen. If more information is
required, I would be happy to do what I can.
Thanks
Software:
Fedora 15

Hi,
I am getting this error since some weeks now, I tried to upgrade/downgrade
wine, GCC and kernel to different versions without success now.
I also tried with a fresh .wine directory multiple times.
This is the output:
trapni@battousai ~/World of Warcraft $ wine ./Wow.exe
warn:ntdll:FILE_CreateFile L"\\??\\C:\\windows" not found (c0000035)

I am not sure how important the top-warnings are, but at least the err: line
and the very last warn:-line look scary to me.
Currently running on:
Linux 2.6.38 (compiled with GCC 4.4.5)
Wine 1.3.15 (compiled with GCC 4.4.5 and tried 4.6.0 aswell)
glibc 2.13
libxml2 2.7.8
What can I do?
I also tested this with the WoW version installed on the native windows
partition (via ntfs-3g) which once worked, but now raises the same error as
above.
Launcher.exe itself works fine.

Trillian astra build 117 crashes upon connecting IM protocols and listing
online buddies. This triggers a wine error window and causes trillian to
"deep-freeze" (dim and get stuck) on the desktop. Only way to get it off the
screen is to logoff and login again

Bug #: 30431
Summary: Recovering HOWTOs from Re-Volt AppDB Entry
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hougaard.junior(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
Hello,
My name is Bastian and I am a Super Maintainer of the application
'Re-Volt'. I somehow managed to remove all HOWTOs written by myself in
the process of merging two version entries for this application. Asking
on #winehq led me here, and I am now requesting a recovery of these
HOWTOs. From what I have been told, Codeweavers keep backups of the wine
application database. The HOWTOs got removed April the 14th just a few
hours ago.
Here is some background:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=3151
There is quite many sub-versions of Re-Volt 1.20 due to unofficial
patches being released every 3rd month. Since a previous version becomes
obsolete once a new version is released, me and Super Maintainer Luke
has agreed to keep a version entry named "1.20" for older versions and
keep one separate entry for the latest patch released, as suggested in
the maintainer guidelines.
A new version of Re-Volt was released the 7th April 2012 named
"1.2a12.0405". The previous version entry "1.2a12.0107" therefore had to
be merged with version entry "1.20". I moved all test entries, one by
one, from "1.2a12.0107" to "1.20". The version entry "1.2a12.0107" was
thereafter deleted.
When I started as Super Maintainer I wrote 3 HOWTOs. These HOWTOs was
created at the page of version entry "1.2a12.0107" but was set to be
displayed at version "1.0", "1.10" and "1.20" too. Deleting version
entry "1.2a12.0107" also deleted the HOWTOs because I was unaware that
the HOWTOs was dependent on this version entry. I am not sure I
understand why it is either when the HOWTOs was supposed to be shared
across several versions of Re-Volt. Is this intended by design? Anyway,
if these can be recovered I would be very pleased.
Best Regards,
Bastian

WordPerfect, BricsCad wiki page doesn't exist.
Links for Picasa and Websphere is dead. As far as I know, Google dropped
official Linux support for Picasa.
I'm not sure about another two apps' current status.
Anyway, I hope you can update this section...

When running programs in Wine with Unity in Ubuntu, problems arise. When using
GNOME, the problems disappear!
Here's one way of reproducing the problem in Ubuntu version 11.04 (64-bit):
Log into Ubuntu with Unity (the default) and open the game called "Ballistic"
with Wine - download the game from here:
http://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Ballistic.html
Try playing that game with Wine; simply right-click within the game's window
and use the left mouse button to release the ball. Watch how it doesn't work
in Unity, now the next step... Logout of Ubuntu. At the bottom of the login
screen, change the login session to "Ubuntu Classic (No effects)". Now play
that game in Wine - it works properly without Unity.
This bug/conflict with Wine and Unity is not caused by old hardware, as my
computer is less than 1 year old.
