Slightly modified default project from visual studio 2008
A fullscreen window is ignoring mouse input after TrackPopupMenu().
After I right click on it, the popup menu appers. After I choose an item or
click outside menu, the popup menu closes. After that, the window is not
receiving any mouse events.
After I switch to another window and back using Alt-tab, my window unfreezes.
I have tested with wine 1.7.38 and 1.6, XFCE and KDE. Xubuntu 14.04. I tested
in VirtualBox
$ wine --version
wine-1.7.38
$ wine fullscreentest.exe

with default fonts and configure
1. download the installer and run it.
2. with default configure you can find that the button with text
'立即安装美图秀秀'(meaning: install MeituXiuxiu right now) can't work when you click on
it.
In face, there are also some picture didn't be displayed in normally(as picture
with_simsun.png in attachments)
And I found this all may relate to font type. If I copy the simsun.ttc from
windows and that run it, I can find the button work and the picture was
displayed.

Summary: ISA(Interlinear Scripture Analyzer): window manager
losing window with Wine application running
Product: Wine

Run Ubuntu 16.04.1 with the Mate 1.16 desktop. The application (ISA v2 from
http://www.scripture4all.org/download/download_ISA2.php) runs fine, only the
window manager in Mate occasionally loses the window completely and I can't get
it back via alt-tab or running the task manager in wine.
I usually have a couple instances of this Wine application running (they sync
together) in one of Mate's virtual workspaces, and often before the window(s)
does it's disappearing act, I will see the application docked in the bottom
panel (window list applet?) along with the other applications from that
workspace even when the Wine application isn't within the current focused
workspace; this shouldn't be.
I posted this to a Mate forum thinking it likely a Mate problem. The advice I
got was to try replacing the 'marco' window manager with 'metacity'. This I
tried without success. Same exact problem. The window managers are clearly
getting confused somehow.
I posted this to one of the help forums at winehq.org and (as well as
suggesting I post here) was directed to enable the Wine virtual desktop via
winecfg and see how the application fared running in such. This I tried. The
application running multiple instances within the Wine virutal desktop runs
we'll say 'okay' (albeit with a quite a performance hit) and the Mate window
manager doesn't seem to lose track of the Wine virutal desktop window like it
was the windows with just the raw apps running.
Any ideas on what might be making the window manager lose track of these
windows and possible mitigation??

So after a previous bug was fixed on this game -
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30269 - I believe, the issue is now
that we have a few items that spin in the game (just cosmetic UI stuff).
In the loading screen we have spinning asteroids, during the game we have icons
like planets and ships in the bottom left corner.
They spin _really_ fast now.
You get an error -
err:ddraw:d3d_device3_GetRenderState Unexpected texture stage state setup,
returning D3DTBLEND_MODULATE - likely erroneous.
That could be related. I'd be happy to provide any debug log requested.
Although I just checked, the demo includes the same problem for the menu screen
asteroids.

--- Comment #18 from Ralf Jung <post+wine(a)ralfj.de> ---
I came here from <https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40044>, all the
details are over there. The short summary is: No application is involved, all
I am doing is
rm ~/.wine/ -rf && time wine echo
This takes more than a minute. I don't have any network printers in the
network I am *currently* connected to, but I do have two network printers set
up in my CUPS. If I am in the network those printers are in, the above
commands takes less than three seconds. When I used to have four network
printers, the command took 2 minutes.
In other words, every network printer set up in CUPS that is not reachable
currently makes wine prefix creation ~30 seconds slower.

Setting "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" in winecfg solves
the issue.
There are two issues:
-Minimize box is always shown
-Maximize box is only shown when WS_THICKFRAME is also used
Testprogram attached.
