Summary: Masterplan app freezes and chrashes
Product: Wine

error log running Masterplan
I was able to install the required MS .NET 3.5 when the 1.6 version of Wine was
released. Since then I was able to use this app, but it crashes and freezes
very often (about 5-10 minutes after startup).
I am running this on Ubuntu 12.04 and I tried Wine 1.6 and Wine 1.7.0 (however,
my Wine Configuration 'about' tab says I still run 1.6, did I do something
wrong?)
as said before, the only requirement to run the app is MS .NET 3.5 (I installed
MS .NET 3.5 SP1 using Winetricks)
The app can be downloaded from: http://masterplan.habitualindolence.net/
You need to click the 'download' tab on the left and download Masterplan. You
get the most recent version from this site (11.11).
Someone from the WineHQ Forum also advised me to run memtest, since I get
errors about possibly corrupt memory, but it came out clean.
If I need to give more information, please let me know! In advance; thanks for
the help!

backtrace
This is a VPN client from Palo Alto Networks ("GlobalProtect"). The program
starts up and the GUI window appears, but when trying to connect to VPN it
crashes and says the "serious problem..." message.
I realize nobody else in the wine community probably uses this program, and
it's not a free download, so you probably cannot run it. But I thought
something from the backtrace might jump out at you.
This has never worked in wine as far as I know, since 1.4/1.6 til now.
Program names are pangpa.exe and pangps.exe

Bug ID: 37109
Summary: Tab control waits for two seconds and then hides its
children when its WS_TABSTOP/WS_EX_CONTROLPARENT
change
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.22
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: comctl32

Reporter: pietro10(a)mac.com
Created attachment 49330

Source of program that demonstrates this bug. Only compiles with mingw due to
use of asprintf().
For simplicity's sake (and especially since I'm now going to need to make them
transparent...), my tab apges are all children of the tab control itself.
Because WS_TABSTOP and WS_EX_CONTROLPARENT are mutually exclusive, my tab
controls enable the latter before calls to IsDialogMessage() and enable
WS_TABSTOP after calls to IsDialogMessage(). The attached program is a basic
example with a tab that parents an edit control.
In wine, if you click the sole tab or press Tab while focused on the edit
control, you will notice that wine seems to stall for a few seconds, then the
tab receives focus and the edit disappears. If you press Tab again, the edit
reappears.
On both Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit, both with and without a
comctl32.dll v6 manifest, the focus switch happens instantly and the edit does
not disappear.
Using wine-1.7.22 from the official Wine PPA and a 64-bit WINEPREFIX
(apparently) on Ubuntu 14.04.
Thanks!
