It installs fine on Wine, but after starting it insists on inserting the original CD in the CD drive although it is in the drive. A scan of the main executable with a copy protection scanner reveals Scanning -> c:\Programme\Klett\Mathetrainer 5\Mathetrainer.exe File Type : Exe, Size : 1231923 (012CC33h) Bytes -> File has 46094 (0B40Eh) bytes of appended data starting at offset 0121825h [!] Protect DiSC v6.2 - v6.8 (Build 12-07-2005) detected ! [!] exact version: Protect DiSC v6.2.5 ! [!] protection level: Basic According to http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_protections_protectcd.shtml this protection also refered as ProtectCD is a commonly used protection scheme. Other titles like "Need For Speed" and "Quake 3" make use of this protection scheme too. These 2 crashes happens something like 19/20 times and it's nearly impossible to play. I tested with 2.4 2.16 2.13 and 2.16 both vanilla and staging. Download got interrupted (tested under ethernet). Short video files don't have this problem. Symptoms are only present in Wine, not in Windows. Other people experienced this issue on this french forum: https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1987516 Captvty 2.x don't have this problem since it's using curl.exe to download video files. Requirements: - Wine 1.9.19+ (because of this bug in older versions: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40325). This bug is not due to a regression, it was already there in wine 1.9.6 when tested with winetricks gdiplus (and Captvty version was 3.0.0.38312). Steps to reproduce: - visit http://v3.captvty.fr/ and download zip file ("Télécharger archive ZIP") - unzip captvty-*.zip - in terminal: $ export WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.wine32 $ winetricks -q dotnet452 $ winecfg (choose a version newer than xp) $ wine "/path/to/Captvty.exe" - pick a TV channel on the left sidebar - Choose a show that takes time to download (depending of your connection and the server bandwidth) - Right click on it and choose "Télécharger la vidéo" (means Download video) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Whatever I do, I'm getting: Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x1123fba2). in QtWebEngineProcess.exe. More details: Had a working installation of Origin on Wine 2.21 x64. Update was pushed out on 20/2/2018 and now I'm getting the above error. Tried to re-install/uninstall, no avail. Decided to try a fresh wine prefix. Tested with 2.22/3.1/3.2 (64bit), 3.1/3.2 (32bit). The same result. Backtrace is attached.
