Summary: Regression in Test Drive Unlimited 2, visual artifacts
Product: Wine-staging
Version: 2.12
Hardware: x86-64

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2

Has been happening for some time now, probably coincidental with when the
active work on DirectX 10+ began. The game previously rendered normally, at
least without visible artifacts. Now there are visual artifacts in the form of
random polygons popping from the horizon to the camera. If you need a visual
reference, here's a video. https://youtu.be/75Gd9iHFPWI Here is a single
screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/FHPchhb.png
Changing graphics quality settings doesn't affect it. CSMT doesn't affect it
either.
I'm using Arch Linux, an NVidia GPU with proprietary drivers. The prefix is 32
bit with .NET 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 installed (3.5 is required to run the game).

log of crash
Running a .NET executable with 64-bit Mono version 5.18.0 from
https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/#download-win crashes when
attempting to start any executable. Earlier versions of Mono have worked.
The easiest way to reproduce this is to run the mcs.bat file included in the
distribution. No source code is needed, it's enough to run the file with no
arguments.
This bug blocks upstream merges into Wine Mono.

Stacktrace backtrace
Hi there,
I just tried to ran Native Instruments Kontakt 5 and received a crash message.
As a workaround, I added msvcp140 "native, builtin" loader priority, then it
took the provided dll and Kontakt works now.
Still, there seems one Getcat method overload to be unimplemented.
Thanks for the great project and the endless efforts! :-)

Regression in D2 LoD v1.13. After some wine upgrades I've tried running D2 LoD
and received "Access_violation (c0000005)" error.
I've checked few different wine versions and got following results:
wine-vanilla-3.0.3 - ok
wine-vanilla-3.18 - Unhandled exception: Access_violation (c0000005)
wine-vanilla-3.21 - Unhandled exception: Access_violation (c0000005)
I've tried using clear wine prefix and error was gone. But after that I ran
D2VidTst.exe, chose "Direct3D" instead of "DirectDraw (2D)" there, and issue
reappeared.
I ran git bisect and got following result:
8fa5f1d8c6e2c0e0bb408de0b341b946984825c1 is the first bad commit

log for bioshock remastered opening in steam (with -windowed option)
Bioshock Remastered with the -windowed flag (set as a steam launch option)
should start in windowed mode, but doesn't. Changing to windowed mode from
within the game works fine. Doesn't work on 3.5-devel (ubuntu) and 3.5 staging
(gentoo). The flag works on Windows 8.1.

Might and Magic Heroes VI - Shades of Darkness
Water on map shown as white place, not transparent and no details like on
screen 1.
I was considering this as a missing feature but I found some engine version
shows water like on screen 2. So this is possible!
I will do regression test to find the best revision and corresponding changes.
