Summary: PowerPoint 2016 fails adding slides
Product: Wine
Version: 5.3
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2

Hi,
I installed MS Office 2016. Word and Excel works well, but I have some problems
with PowerPoint
In PowerPoint there are some basic style of slide for any theme you chose,
-Title and box
-Titles and two columns
-A big box...
Some of this style fails in Powerpoint. You got a blank slide if you tried to
add it. Others works perfectly.
However, PowerPoint is able to open a slide with this compositions.
Sorry for my english.

A free game Desktop Dungeons (download: http://www.qcfdesign.com/?cat=20) has a
very simple 2d graphic. Yet the game is very CPU intensive under Wine. There is
nothing significant in the log to determine why.

When using wine, I am getting this graphical glitches on textures. These are
textude decals, that are left by the game engine when a bullet hits something,
and leaves the mark.
When using DXVK, there are no such artefacts.

Which wine version did you use? That link is dead now.
Updated download URL to:

Change version to Windows XP in winecfg.
Installer runs. Option to run the program doesn't work.
With wine-5.2 based on comment #17 it doesn't start. The same output occurs
when the installer tries to launch the program.

Sleeping Dogs is a DirectX11 game, and it runs fine and has done so since at
least Wine 2.0. However sound has never worked at all for me.
I'm using Nvidia proprietary drivers (GTX 960) on Arch Linux, with libpulse.
I believe the relevant error that appears in console is:
err:dsound:DSOUND_ReopenDevice Initialize failed: 8889000f
