I just unpack the archive you provided and run command "wine MakeMakefiles.exe .". Used fresh Wine from CVS. If you still have the issue with recent CVS try to reproduce the bug with default no-windows Wine configuration. Reopen the bug if you can reproduce the issue. Please, also create as small as possible test case. Be sure the test case works on Windows and fails on Wine. It is a 10MB download from http://www.wizards.com/mastertools/downloads/CGSetup12.exe. However, I just noticed that the problem does not occur if I start the Character Generator from its installed directory, which leads me to believe that this is a bug in the application rather than in wine. I have entered this as a suggestion in the Wine Troubleshooters Guide.
