Confirming, there's free trial one can download, only email-address is
required.

It starts fine for me in GE-Proton, so there must be a fix in there that fixes
this issue.

(Note for myself: to get GE-Proton to run at all I had to copy some files:
cp -rf ~/GE-Proton/files/lib/vkd3d/x86_64-windows/libvkd3d-*
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/)
