I have solved half of the mystery. Running `wine winebrowser www.github.com`
breaks on my machine too. The message being printed was being printed by my
native chromium browser, rather than CEF. Nothing I do in the registry to
change the browser appears to fix it, but if I change KDE to use firefox
instead of chromium as its default browser, login works. This is a different
bug that I will need to file later. That said, How Jorge can avoid the need for
that patch to be able to run this at all is still a mystery to me.
