It is somewhat harder to tell what it is actually looking for, as the query is less specific. But it ends up with an empty dropdown list for the serial ports.

Unfortunately, enumerating serial ports on Windows is hit-and-miss, and there are quite a few methods to do it, see e.g. http://www.naughter.com/enumser.html
Unfortunately, wine only implements a few of these (e.g. WMI works when you enumerate "WIN32_SerialPort", but not "WIN32_PnpEntity").
