------- Additional Comments From dank@kegel.com 2006-23-07 09:59 ------- Testing with the free downloadable trial and wine from git, the symptoms seem to be different now. The installer doesn't let me get past the screen where you choose either the trial 30 day version or enter a serial number. When you click on the serial number field, that field doesn't get the focus. And if you chose the 30 day trial version, it complains "The User Name and Serial Number fields are required for setup to continue", which seems quite wrong.
A few fun factoids: looking at the msi log, it looks like there's a serial number associated with the trial, stored in Abcpy.ini. But since I can't enter a serial number(!), I can't try putting that in.
To reproduce: 0) rm -rf ~/.wine (for reproducibility) 1) download and run Photoshop_CS2.exe 2) Let it unpack to the default location 3) cd to where it unpacked (the Photoshop TryOut/Photoshop CS2 subdirectory of wherever Photoshop_CS2.exe was sitting) 4) you can run the setup.exe there, but it's cleaner to bypass that and run the real setup.exe that's down in Adobe(R)\ Photoshop(R)\ CS2/setup.exe Run that and you'll hit the problem screen in just three clicks.
I'll attach a +msi log.
Upgrading to major, adding keyword 'download', changing category to msi, setting target to wine-1.0.
