[Bug 11592] Tray icons in Gnome's notification area are broken.

I just installed a fresh Fedora 8 from DVD (on a new hd in the same computer)
and noticed that the notification area about box says v2.20.1 before installing
any updates. Out of curiosity I tried running some Windows apps and now tray
icons work! They are displayed properly and any pop-up menu appears as
expected.

Now I have 212 updated packages to install, I'll report back on what happens
after the notification area has been updated to v2.20.2 again.
