I doubt it can ever be fixed.
This might be a WONTFIX because this is an old version of Kindle for PC
requiring an obsolete and unsecure certificate that was long removed from
distribution. Nothing Wine can do anything about.

Though, it might be a good idea to document the workaround in the Wine AppDB
for the affected Kindle for PC release (with the required certificate attached
to the AppDB entry).
