Bug ID: 40994 Summary: Exits only from pull-down menu, then reports error. Product: Wine Version: 1.9.14 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: leslarkin@aim.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 55155 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=55155 Program error dump after program exit
I can't exit by clicking on the 'x' in the red circle in the upper left corner of the app window. I also can't exit by right-clicking on the Wine icon in my Launcher bar, and clicking 'Quit'. The only way to exit is by clicking the app's 'Settings' pull-down menu, then clicking 'Exit'.
After an apparently successful exit, I get an error window with the attached bactrace.txt file.

--- Comment #1 from winetest@luukku.com --- You should also add a working download for this software. When downloaded into local drive you should do this command "sha1sum filename", it outputs you a shasum so people later testing can compare their file with yours. So if it matches and the bug is fixed, it's done in wine's side. It's hard sometimes to tell did application update fix the bug or wine, if there is no sha code.

--- Comment #3 from KRosUser kyle.kcsoftwares@gmail.com --- Do you have a download link ? Can you still reproduce the problem with Wine 10.5 ?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40994
--- Comment #4 from Lester Larkin leslarkin@aim.com --- The ScottradeElite app disappeared with Scottrade. Scottrade was bought by Ameritrade. Then Toronto-Dominion bought Ameritrade, becoming TD-Ameritrade. TD-Ameritrade was then bought by Schwab.
Schwab has a graphical trading platform, ThinkOrSwim, which is similar to ScottradeElite, that works directly with Linux using Java. So I don't need Wine to run it. This bug should be closed, since ScottradeElite doesn't exist.

You can mark it CLOSED then
Good idea! How can I close it? Should I just change the Status from UNCONFIRMED to RESOLVED? Or is there some other process?

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|INVALID |ABANDONED
--- Comment #8 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com --- There was a legitimate issue initially reported, but it's no longer possible to retest with the latest version of Wine because the application with the issue is no longer available. Therefore, I'll mark this bug abandoned as a more appropriate resolution.
