Bug ID: 58431 Summary: Pegasus Mail Changed font (regression) Product: Wine Version: 10.11 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: winehq@jonass.user.lysator.liu.se Distribution: ---
Created attachment 78855 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=78855 Good example of font
In Wine 10.11 the application Pegasus Mail uses a different font than before. I believe this is a regression.
Git bisect suggests this may be related to 91731901bad8ff40c74287c6b0e3b537e63ef224 is the first bad commit
Does not really matter unless it is a sign of something bad is about to happen somewhere else.
Xubuntu 24.04.2 LTS

Maybe it is not the font selection itself that is the problem. Maybe it is whether antialiasing is used or not. But that should not change with different version of Wine when I am using the same application?

--- Comment #5 from Rob robin@lenkeninternational.co.uk --- This bug also affects InfoCentral, an object-orientated PIM, last produced by Corel. The effect is to render the text so small it is barely readable.
WINE version 10.10-1.1 does not have this problem, but 10.11-1.1 and 10.11-2.1 do.
OpenSUSE Tumbleweed KDE and Xfce

--- Comment #6 from Rob robin@lenkeninternational.co.uk --- I can confirm the text problem is fixed (at least for InfoCentral) in version 10.12-1.1. There is no error message about MS Sans Serif being unavailable and the font looks as it should. Thank you.

Jonas, can you please confirm?
Yes, I confirm. Seems fine with wine-10.12 on XUbuntu 24.04.2 LTS
Thanks!
