I tried to instll Internet Explorer 11. Wine was "Windows 10". It fails. See report.

Wine 1.8 is years old obsolete and not supported anymore.
Please, retest with a decently recent wine-devel version (current is 5.8).

Tested with Wine 10.9 on Ubuntu 22.04 running on VMware.
Created fresh 64bit prefix.
Installation stops to message: Internet Explorer needs an update before installing.
Pressing Get Update this page is opened: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/troubleshoot/browsers/in...
Few updates are listed as prerequisite for IR11 installation.

In my previous test Windows version was set to Windows 7.
Retested with Windows 10. Installation crashes with attached backtrace.
