--- Comment #2 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- Need console logs.
Do they work in a virtual desktop?

--- Comment #3 from Sławek slawek@lach.art.pl --- I will downloads demo for these games, but link given by joaopa is bad - it points to Commandos: Beyound Call of Duty or Commandos 2 (probably). I see this by screen.

--- Comment #4 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- And this one (Empire gold edition)? https://archive.org/details/empire-earth-gold-edition
It would be very helpful for the developers if you could find a demo that shows the problem for you.

--- Comment #5 from Sławek slawek@lach.art.pl --- Ok. But it is really demo version? I checked the download links and it points to iso image.

This demo seems to be broken with rendering part. I do not check on X.org yet, but I will. Currently, I checked on kwin_wayland.

--- Comment #7 from Sławek slawek@lach.art.pl --- On Commandos.exe there smaller issue with screen resolution than on Wayland. Screen resolution changed, but there's small black area on right and left.
Also, on X there is another issue, but it need probably different ticket to address it: screen resolution was not restored, when game quits.

--- Comment #9 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- Sorry I do not respond. I will try to respond in few weeks. Reason is I now use KWin-Wayland compositor and not X.org. This problem on Wayland probably do not occur,
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52959
--- Comment #10 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- I retested on X11 and case is worse. Resolution is probably changed, because xterm window was bigger, but only black screen, when I minimize xterm window. When switching window via ALT+TAB, commandos window appears in part of screen (top-left corner), what is what it should be.

--- Comment #11 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- Created attachment 79360 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=79360 Logs from GDI
I attached logs from GDI, because I suppose problem are in GDI.

--- Comment #12 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- Ok.
Looks under Wayland it does not work. I think on Wayland (KWIN+WAYLAND) it works, because I use proton-ge probably. I attached other logs, but now from Wayland. On X11 there is only black screen and on Wayland, image is only on part of screen (rest screen is black; game rendered image does not render on full screen).
I also debug xrandr, x11, etc. - instead of GDI.

--- Comment #13 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- Created attachment 79370 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=79370 Logs from xrandr, X11 on Wayland
On KWin11_wayland, whole screen is black, but no small image from game on top-left corner.

--- Comment #14 from Sławek nintyfan19@gmail.com --- On KWin11_wayland, whole screen is black, but no small image from game on top-left corner.
->
On KWin11_wayland, whole screen is black, but a small image from game on top-left corner.
Sorry.
It works fine with lutris-GE-Proton7-20-x86_64.
