------- Additional Comments From illissius@gmail.com 2006-06-07 15:09 ------- If you open the Settings dialog first before trying to run a game, it doesn't crash. If you don't, though, it does. Which is sort of odd.
Once past that point, using OpenGL (with the latest version of Rice's video plugin), it works (!) (it didn't, prior to trying it again just now), but using DirectX, it hangs when the statusbar says "Creating DirectX Device Context", and the debug output shows:
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7f2b0c60 "x11drv_main.c: X11DRV_CritSection" wait timed out in thread 001c, blocked by 0023, retrying (60 sec) err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7f8afae0 "gdiobj.c: GDI_level" wait timed out in thread 0023, blocked by 001c, retrying (60 sec)
I'm using Wine 0.9.16.
In the DirectX options panel of the video plugin, I have: Combiner Type: Pixel Shader Swap Effect: Flip (def) Depth Buffer Type: 16-bit (def) OnScreen Display: Display Nothing OnScreen Text Color: FFFFFFFF Force Software T&L: off Using Software Vertex Clipper: off FSAA: 0x (doesn't let me change this at all) AF: 16x
I've attached the output of glxinfo.
