--- Comment #1 from Antoine Le Gonidec accounts.winehq@vv221.fr --- The libvkd3d-doc.vkd3d from the Debian archive should not have this problem, maybe its content could be copied over:
``` Document: vkd3d Title: vkd3d application programming interface Abstract: This manual describes the programming interface for the vkd3d library. Section: Programming
Format: pdf Files: /usr/share/doc/libvkd3d-doc/*.pdf.gz
(I did not check that the paths are the same for the WineHQ-provided package)
--- Comment #3 from Joerg Schiermeier mywine@schiermeier-it.de --- (In reply to Rosanne DiMesio from comment #2)
What package are you talking about? There haven't been any WineHQ vkd3d packages built since 1.3, over three years ago.
The Debian package name is: libvkd3d-doc Please see: 1.) https://packages.debian.org/search?lang=de&suite=all&arch=amd64&... 2.) https://packages.debian.org/de/sid/libvkd3d-doc
Maybe something with the upstream to Debian is wrong or misconfigured?
This is a Debian problem which I reported in June 2025 to the Debian Bugtracker: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1108131
--- Comment #4 from Antoine Le Gonidec accounts.winehq@vv221.fr --- It has already been said to you: the package you are trying to install is not coming from Debian.
What you linked to and what is triggering the error you shared are not the same thing.
If you need more details, look at the output of: apt-cache policy libvkd3d-doc
--- Comment #5 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Joerg,
The package you are talking about is over three years old, and no one reported this problem when it came out. I noticed that in the Debian bug you state your system is Devuan; our packages are built on and for Debian, and are not guaranteed to work on derivatives.
But more to the point, we haven't built any vkd3d binary packages since 1.3, and AFAIK no one has any plans to do so. There is nothing to fix.
--- Comment #6 from Joerg Schiermeier mywine@schiermeier-it.de --- OK. Lets set the bug status to
WONTFIX
and then let it die....
