So if you were to download the official Qt for Windows installer (located at
https://download.qt.io/official_releases/online_installers/qt-online-install...
), it would start the program but nothing would show up.

Before, it should show an error message:

err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make
sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the
winbind package of your distribution.

So I installed winbind and libntlm0 and now the error does not show up anymore
but the installer still doesn't show any window. It maxes out a single thread
and stays like that forever.

Hi,

The program starts fine here into the first window, using current wine-10.8.

According to your info you're running wine-9.0, which is way too old. Please
upgrade to current wine-10.8, and report back please.

(Note: I also tried with old wine-9.0 and indeed no window shows up)

Just tried again with wine-10.0 (current stable) and now I get a crash. I can
try again using the staging branch.

OK. It appears to work fine using staging (wine-10.9). I'll just close this bug
and hopefully other people will see this fix.
