Summary: Audiosurf - can't get past first loading screen Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: piekarzarkadiusz@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=28336) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=28336) Audiosurf loading log
When Audiosurf is launched, a loading screen appears which consists of a progress bar, a button to proceed and an embedded web browser. Everything seems to load properly, but when the "OK" button appears, it doesn't react to mouse clicks or keyboard presses. So it's impossible to get to the main menu and play.
I attached a log from a console and a screenshot.
Tested on Kubuntu 10.04, Wine 1.2-rc1

--- Comment #2 from Danilo Pianini danilo.pianini@gmail.com 2010-09-05 17:30:28 CDT --- I can confirm the issue with wine-1.3.1.
I also add that it is possible to navigate the window via keyboard: if you press tab some times and enter you will be able to navigate the pages in the internal browser of Audiosurf. The problem is all with the mouse: the position is not registered correctly and the clicks are not perceived. To prove it, just move around the pointer and see where it is when the links are highlighted, then if you click nothing happens.

--- Comment #4 from mardini amardini14@yahoo.com 2010-09-05 18:26:50 CDT --- Interestingly enough, this problem persists even if you start the game in fullscreen mode. It seems that mouse clicks are not being picked up at all. Somewhat off topic, but is there a way to skip these menus and go to straight to the game? It might prove to be a useful hack until a solution is found.

--- Comment #5 from Danilo Pianini danilo.pianini@gmail.com 2010-09-06 01:42:19 CDT --- I tried all the keys of my keyboard and nothing worked as workaround. To complete my previous intervention, I must say that running in full screen modifying the ini options file fixes the mouse position detection.
Tested on Sabayon 5.3

--- Comment #6 from mardini amardini14@yahoo.com 2010-09-09 05:59:13 CDT --- The problem appears to have been resolved in the 1.3.2 release. Can anyone else test this?

--- Comment #9 from Justin Soulia rockinup1231@gmail.com 2010-11-12 11:14:03 CST --- This problem still persists for me in wine 1.3.6. The menus can still be navigated if you search around for where the buttons and links in the menu accept input, as it has for others.

--- Comment #10 from Justin Soulia rockinup1231@gmail.com 2010-11-12 12:12:47 CST --- Scratch that. It appears to be fixed in fullscreen, although in windowed mode the issue still persists (and it won't allow me to adjust the resolution).
It seems that in windowed mode the resolution is locked at something to the order of 653x367, where I could force it to display in 800x600 and it would just stretch the image, which I _think_ is why input isn't accepted properly in windowed mode. Audiosurf expects the input where the controls would be if the resolution were actually set to what it wants.
