Bug ID: 36100 Summary: Civilization III Complete (Steam) crashes if OSMesa support was compiled in Product: Wine Version: 1.7.17 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: gyebro69@gmail.com

This bug was addressed in http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21105 some time ago. The game starts fine and a new game can be started, but it crashes usually in a few minutes. I believe it has something to do with scrolling the map in the game: if you move the mouse pointer near the edges of the screen the crash occurs in a matter of seconds. If I compile Wine without OSMesa support then the crash doesn't occur.

--- Comment #1 from singenbale@gmail.com --- I was experiencing the same crash but it stopped crashing most likely after replacing mesa-dri with mesa, running on archlinux, wine 1.7.33-1, mesa 10.4.0-1, xorg-server 1.16.3-1, intel graphics

--- Comment #2 from Béla Gyebrószki gyebro69@gmail.com --- Upgrading libOSMesa to 10.4.0 on Fedora 21 indeed fixes the crash in Civilization III.
Resolving as UPSTREAM bug.
