Unluckily I wasn't able to reach that far. But I was able to see, that this bug might be good to be split into two: The original mouse problem (which may have been solved or not) and another one concerning the installation of Weathersoft application. The latter meaning seeking ways to remove need for tricks during installation.
What comes to the installation, it went fine. With the little trick presented by Ryan May the program started running, but soon halted into OpenGL problem before fully launching itself. I may be currently experiencing OpenGL problem otherwise due to my old graphics card, so that doesn't tell much. As I didn't wanna go screw my registry, I didn't test the second part of Ryan May's trick.
