After installing pokerstars and run the application I got a message box
with error 
error:24064064:random number generator:SSLEAY_RAND_BYTES:PRNG not seeded

I tried this with a more recent Wine and didn't get the same behavior.  Try
updating and see if that helps.

i'm getting this error for a couple of days now after upgrading from 0.9.39 to
0.9.49; 0.9.50 gives the same error message.

I got this error today. I have been using pokerstars for a while, without
problems. Last time I connected with success was 01/01/2008. I have not
updated wine in the meantime - still using 0.9.44.
Tried to reinstall pokerstars, after cleaning up .wine, same error.

Same version of the client runs fine in a XP machine...

After uninstalling wine, deleting every .wine reference I could find,
installing wine-0.9.52, and installing pokerstars, it worked...
